I am a 50-year-old business professional from Scottsdale, Arizona. I am married to my best friend Tricia, and have 3 beautiful children ages 20, 15 and 9.

My passion, ever since I was young, was playing competitive sports. I was naturally gifted and there was not any sport I could not do. I played several sports in high school and went on to play college basketball at Ohio University. Later in life I raced motorcycles. I raced all over the west coast for 9 years. I have won many races, but the high lite was an 11th place finish at the 2013 Baja 500 in Ensenada, Mexico.

At the age of 30, children and work took over. I was too busy climbing the corporate ladder. I was traveling a lot and not paying attention to how I was eating and had no time for the gym. At about 47 years of age my weight had spun out of control. I did not like to do the things I loved anymore and thought I was depressed. I noticed my weight going up no matter how hard I trained and knew something was wrong. In September of 2016 I saw an ad in the gym for a hormone specialist. I called that number and spoke to Dr. Suescun. I went in immediately for blood testing and started therapy soon after. I began working out 6 days a week and followed a set of macros designed to lose weight. The results were astonishing. Within a 6-month period I went from 25% body fat to 15% body fat all based around a simple workout routine and a moderate diet plan.

With a competitive fire still burning inside and a challenge set by my wife, we decided to do a competition together. That is when we found IFBB pro, Corey Upton. We trained with Corey for several months. The summer of 2017 I remember traveling with our food everywhere we went, found the greatest gyms and met lots of inspirational people along the way. We had so much fun and kept each other on point every step of the way.

Today, we continue to lead a very healthy life style with training and diet. I’ve recently become certified as a personal trainer and have plans to complete my nutrition certification this year. My wife and I will be competing to earn our pro cards later this year in July. We will also do a few Miles NPC competitions as we get ready for Nationals. NPC Miles Productions is an excellent venue for beginner to aspiring professionals. The competitions are all very well run and organized. The staff and competitors have all been warm and helpful. Miles and Kim, thanks for all that you do make a fun and unforgettable experience!
