Briana Owen
NPC Bikini Competitor
A little bit about me:
Though I grew up in California, I have lived here in Arizona for the past ten years and now consider it my home. After, I graduated from ASU in 2014 with a Business Legal Studies Degree, I decided I wanted to challenge myself in a different way. When my friend Natalie suggested that I come train with her and her coach, I jumped at the opportunity but told her that I just wanted to learn more about diet and exercise and that I had no desire to compete. But, after a couple of months of training, I decided I wanted to try a competition and see what it was like; looking back I am so glad I made that decision.
In October of 2014 I competed in my first NPC show and shortly after I competed in the 2014 Western Regional where I took 5th place in my class; from then on I was hooked. I would like to thank Miles Productions for making my experience so amazing at this show. Miles and Kim have an incredible way of making all of the competitors feel comfortable and like they are family.
This sport has introduced me to the most motivated and inspiring people that I know. Every step of the way has been a blessing. I would like to thank my home gym Metroflex Phoenix and my coach Josh Barnett for helping me grow not only physically but mentally as well. I have just started my fitness journey and I cannot wait to see what is to come.
